HPC EVOLVE® Plate Carrier

HPC® EVOLVE Plate Carrier | Next-Generation Plate Carrier | HEXATAC

The HPC EVOLVE® Plate Carrier is the result of a collaboration with Khimaira Strategy Tactics. The goal of this new plate carrier was to offer a carrier built for high-intensity combat that is comfortable and able to carry heavy loads over several days while remaining light and minimalist.

Mission Accomplished.

Minimalist : The plate bags hug the armor plate – no excess material.

Scalable : from an ultralight minimalist setup to a heavy one with IIIA soft armor covers (coming soon), the HPC-E® adapts to every mission and role.

Comfortable : Its rigid structure distributes the load optimally across the body. Shoulder pads are included, and the velour interior is comfortable as is and can accept additional comfort pads to best fit each user’s build.

Plate Compatibility:

The size you choose must match the size of your plates, not your body size. The HPC-E® plate carrier is designed to fit any build, regardless of the plate carrier size.

SLIM : Swimmer cut Medium, less than 20 mm (0.8 in) thick

STANDARD : SAPI medium, shooter’s cut 25 x 30 cm (10 x 12 in). Maximum thickness 25 mm (1 in). This size is not compatible with government-issued military, police, or gendarmerie plates.

Exterior

Front

On the front, you can mount your EUD (End User Device) with the mount of your choice: Juggernaut®, Kaegwers®, etc. The loops on the upper part of the front are reinforced and designed for this purpose.

Three front panel anchor heights let you use virtually any front panel on the market: you can attach at the height that suits you and tuck the unneeded buckles away inside the plate carrier.

The HPC-E® Plate Carrier is also compatible with front panels from Crye Precision®, Unobtainium Gear®, etc.

Loops for anchoring quick-release buckles are provided on each side and are compatible with 80 mm (3 in) and 40 mm (1.5 in) “tube”-style buckles as well as 25 mm (1 in) buckles.

Back

The back features a large Velcro panel for attaching a Velcro unit ID panel.

The first row of MOLLE is reinforced to better support your zip-on back panel (compatible with Crye Precision®, Direct Action®, etc.).

The zipper attachments are anchored to the rigid inner face of the plate carrier for a more stable attachment, with the back panel load distributed across the rigid chassis.

At the bottom, an opening in the Velcro flap lets you route the cummerbunds’ shock cord for quick cummerbund length adjustment depending on the layers you’re wearing.

Interior

The inside of the plate carrier is lined with velour: it is comfortable as is and lets you add comfort pads if needed.

A top opening vents as much of the wearer’s body heat as possible.

Features

The shoulder straps are fully removable, which lets you change the buckles connecting the shoulder straps to the front plate bag of your HPC® Plate Carrier. You can use any buckle that fits 25 mm (1 in) webbing, from the standard ITW buckle to an Austri Alpin quick-release buckle, including metal rings.

Adjustable Shoulder Spacing. With the HPC EVOLVE® Plate Carrier, you can adjust the spacing of the shoulder straps to suit your build, or, if you wish, to wear it over a soft armor package, etc. Simply remove the shoulder strap anchors and reinstall them in the right position, the same way you would weave MOLLE. The adjustment is made inside the plate bag, and we recommend removing your armor from the front plate bag for easier access.

Permanent Velcro Fanny Pack Mounting. You can mount a Velcro fanny pack permanently on the HPC® Plate Carrier. A permanent mount has several advantages: you don’t have to remove the fanny pack every time you take off the plate carrier or the front pouch, and it shifts the center of gravity for better comfort, especially when sprinting and in a crouched position. This mounting is compatible with the standard orientation of Velcro fanny packs (loop on the front, hook on the body side), but thanks to our proprietary closure, the hook Velcro, which tends to wear out combat shirts prematurely, will never come into contact with them.

Cummerbund compatibility. The HPC-E® plate carrier performs at its best with the cummerbunds developed specifically for it. However, it remains compatible with any cummerbunds with front and rear Velcro attachment that are 75 mm (3 in) tall (3 rows of MOLLE).
