Ever dreamed of being able to just tie in to your battle belt to secure yourself ? We did it.

A WORLD EXCLUSIVE*: the only battle belt with PPE capabilities featuring a 25 mm (1 in) Cobra buckle, which gives it a lightness second to none.

This HMB EPI® Work Positioning Belt is the result of 3 years of development initiated by theEMHM (École Militaire de Haute Montagne de Chamonix, the French military high-mountain school).

The goal was simple on paper : to create a high-performance battle belt, a new-generation design with the capabilities of personal protective equipment (PPE) without sacrificing the comfort or modularity of a battle belt.

We found that PPE capability, while essential for certain uses (helicopter transport, aircrew, rock climbing, climbing, mountaineering, etc.), only accounted for a limited share of use time compared with wearing the belt for its primary purpose as a battle belt.

We therefore made no compromises on the performance of this PPE as a battle belt and made sure it is certified-compliant PPE.

Thanks to our signature pattern – created specifically for this HMB EPI® Work Positioning Belt, the structure has uniform rigidity along its entire length, with no break. This new signature pattern also makes it possible to bring the load-bearing webbing out as far as possible on the belt and thus protect it behind the composite skeleton.

We use Type 8 aviation webbing, which gives strength and load-carrying capability to the HMB EPI®.

The HMB EPI® Work Positioning Belt uses the 25 mm (1 in) Cobra® buckle, the strongest one in existence. Thetextile load ring is reinforced with Hypalon and avoids the metal-on-metal contact that can occur with metal D-rings.

As part of our ongoing effort to reduce the use of Velcro where it is not essential, continuous rigidity is achieved by means of a rigid extension of the skeleton that locks into the signature pattern. In particular, hook Velcro damages webbing, and it is important to us to reduce the risk of premature wear on our gear.

Certified Compliant

This HMB EPI® Work Positioning Belt is a component of the HMB EPI® system. Used ALONE, it is not compliant PPE.

Used in particular in in an aircraft cargo hold as a passenger, at the door and on the skids or for aircrew.

The following measurements are maximum internal circumferences. There is no minimum, but the further you are from the maximum, the more the two ends overlap. If your waist measurement is exactly the maximum measurement, choose that size.

HMB EPI® Work Positioning Belt

ATTENTION: adding the back support pad between the inner belt and the work positioning belt reduces the maximum and minimum circumferences by 5 cm (2 in). The sizes shown are for the work positioning belt alone, without the back support pad.

To find your size, measure your waist at the belt loops of your pants, over your pants, WITH AN INNER BELT with a soft tape measure, neither too tight nor too loose. If you don’t have a tape measure, you can use a piece of string or paracord to go around your waist, then measure it.
