These next-generation cummerbunds were designed to fit a wide range of plate carriers and to combine vertical rigidity with horizontal stretch, making heavy loads as comfortable as possible to carry while accommodating chest expansion and clothing layers that can change in the field.

The HPC²® Velcro Structural Cummerbunds are available in 4 sizes :

Here are the minimum and maximum circumferences when used with the HPC²® Plate Carrier

Small : 91 to 115 cm (36 to 45 in)
Medium : 99 to 123 cm (39 to 48 in)
Large : 107 to 131 cm (42 to 52 in)
X-Large : 115 to 139 cm (45 to 55 in)

You can fine-tune the exact size between these values with the supplied elastic cord.

This elastic cord also lets you adjust the firmness of the hold of your cummerbunds by changing the lacing for a softer or firmer hold.

Modularity

Our HPC²® Cummerbunds are made of two layers of composite that separate so you can carry gear “sandwiched” between them, for better comfort and a slicker setup.

There is no fabric MOLLE: just like on our HMB²® Battle Belt, the composite layers themselves form the MOLLE, which enables mounting gear on both sides of the cummerbunds.

Loop Velcro on the inner face lets you attach armor plate pockets and use various Velcro inserts.

Assembly

HPC²® Cummerbunds install like standard “skeleton” cummerbunds, by threading them through the rear guides of the HPC²® Plate Carrier.

The elastic cord can be routed through the opening in the rear plate pocket flap for direct access to the cummerbund length adjustment.

Closure

The front closure uses tubes (included), and vertical rigidity comes from the internal composite lining that slides into the inner slots of the front plate pocket.

Cummerbund compatibility. These Structural Cummerbunds are compatible with any plate carrier that has structural guides, such as the JPC®, etc.
