This ratchet tourniquet is twice as fast to apply as a CAT tourniquet, according to the medical study (available here).

Rot-proof, latex-free, with no expiration date and significantly fewer metal parts in the mechanism, this tourniquet is not only quick to apply but also rugged.

To apply it, simply pull on the end and tighten it the way you would tighten a zip tie. The ratchet then lets you increase the pressure in a controlled way.

The X-FORCE Tourniquet’s ratchet allows an authorized professional to release the pressure in half-increments by alternately pressing the release buttons on each side of the ratchet.

The ratchet mechanism has an upper limit on the force applied, to avoid damaging tissue and muscle when the tourniquet is applied. If bleeding continues at maximum pressure, apply a second tourniquet adjacent to the first according to standard procedure.
