Emmanuel Wynne (or Wynn lorsqu’il est repris par les anglo-saxons) est un French pirate born in 1650 and died around 1700 in the Caribbean. It is the first to display a skull with crossed femurs on its flag and is considered to be the designer from Jolly Roger. D’ailleurs l’expression Jolly Roger viendrait de la déformation anglo-saxonne de l’expression française « pretty red » désignant la red version of the flag des pirates qui signifiait « no quarters« .
